"Navigate to ...\Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead 2\left4dead2\resource\ and locate the file named 'stubble-bold.vfont'. ...change the name of that file."
I renamed the file and then started L4D2 to finally have a readable font in the ServerBrowser and the Server Info / Game Info window so that I can read the names of those in the server. A crisp and readble font now, like L4D1.
The server banners have been updated to reflect the current SGC and SGC-supported servers. I have 2 of them highlighted on the right column of the website and all of the banners on the bottom of the main page. If any only show up as the text name of the server rather than the banner, refreshing the main page generally gets the banners back up.
We have tested most of the plugins and functionality of SGC Guns #1 TurboL4D server and everything seems to be working correctly now. The password has been removed and operating as it was before the Crash Course maps. Please report any issues.
For those who don't know this, Valve likes to break stuff, especially if you complain that something they want you to pay for - you tell them it should be free. So for the second time in a year, they try to appease us with a lack-luster DLC which they ensure will break your modded servers. Not too mention, they then make sure to disrupt you again by making sure the client has issues so that they can interrupt you again by crashing your game so that they can update the client.
Long story short, some of the servers plugins, namely L4DStats, will immediately crash the server if enabled, so we have certain servers locked out for admin use only until we decide otherwise. We have a few trusted individuals we have brought in to help us, but we are very discriminatory about who currently gets in. Once we have things the way that we want them, the servers that are allowed to be open to the public will be opened back up.
Until then, Beerhead has opened his servers back up and Zooter has been bringing at least one of his servers up in the evening. We did have some Versus fun yesterday on one of Zooter's, which I typically don't care for Versus. But when you are playing with friends, even things you don't really care for can be fun.
Well, we have known of him for ten years now. I have just found out that Half-Life was released on November 19th, 1998, which makes good reason for celebration. Not to take away from the release of Left4Dead, but I believe HL was Valve's first release.
